Beyond Growth

In 2018, at the initiative of the city of Paris, Isabelle Lefort co-founded Paris Good Fashion with Laure du Pavillon. Paris Good Fashion is an association that federates all fashion actors to accelerate the change of the fashion industry towards a more responsible fashion. PGF brings together more than 100 structures representing more than 60% of the French market. Simultaneously, Isabelle continues her writing activities. With a degree in Literature and Arts and a Master’s degree in Journalism, her experience led her from television to radio, and most notably, to various chief editor positions in the written press (Elle, Air France Madame, Glamour, La Tribune & Moi, We Demain Initiative). In the second part of her career, she felt the need to move from observation to action, to get involved, and to feel useful. This is why she specialized in the issue of gender equality and sustainable development.

Vincent Liegey, co-author of Exploring Degrowth: a Critical Guide (Pluto Press, 2020), is an engineer, interdisciplinary researcher and activist. He is the coordinator of Cargonomia, Degrowth research and experimentation cooperative in Budapest. One of the spokesperson of the French Degrowth movement, he is also one of the coordinators of the support group for the international Degrowth conference. Vincent has also co-authored Sobriété (La Vraie) and Décroissance, Fake or Not (Tana Editions, 2023 and 2021), and Un Projet de Décroissance (Editions Utopia, 2013).

Appointed to Pernod Ricard HQ in August 2017, Vanessa is responsible for the creation and global implementation of the Group’s 2030 Sustainability & Responsibility roadmap ‘Good Times from a Good Place’. Before joining the HQ, she held the position of Global Communications Director for Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët and prior to this, she spent 17 years in a number of Communications roles in the UK for Pernod Ricard, including Global Communications Director for Chivas Brothers, the Scotch Whisky and Gin business. During her career, she has also worked for a number of luxury and food & drink consultancies and spent five years as a Senior Press Officer for The National Farmers Union. She is an experienced scuba diver and has a passion for protection of the sea and environment.

Julie is part of BSR’s climate change team, where she develops climate change and sustainability strategies for BSR members across multiple industries. Prior to joining BSR, Julie worked in Mazars’s sustainability services practice, where she was a CSR manager. She audited and advised companies on their ESG data, CSR and climate ambitions, risk approaches over a broad range of sectors (retail, automotive industry, services, insurance). During her time within Mazars, Julie also spent six months at the Mexico City office. Julie holds a master’s degree in business from Kedge Business School and spent one semester at the University of Nottingham and another one at the University of Technology of Sydney attending sustainability courses. She speaks French, English, and Spanish.

Giulio leads BSR’s climate work in the EMEA region. BSR works globally on value chain decarbonization across consulting, collaborative initiatives, and grants. Giulio brings expertise in Scope 3 supplier engagement, reverse sourcing, and commodities decarbonization, as well as helping companies implement their net zero and environmental targets. He also works across sectors on implementing the TCFD recommendations and climate scenario analysis.

Prior to joining BSR, Giulio worked for climate change consulting firm EcoAct in both France and Kenya. His work focused on climate targets, carbon neutrality, and project implementation, as well climate risk assessments. He speaks English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Giulio holds an M.S. in Sustainability from HEC Paris School of Management. He also holds a double degree M.S. in Management and Industrial Engineering and a double degree B.S. in Technology and International Business from Politecnico di Torino and UIC Barcelona
